In today's guide, we'll walk you through the process of creating your very own custom SEO GPT in just 6 steps.

Yes, you read that right!

With the power of AI at your fingertips, you can have your own SEO specialist tailored to your needs.

Let's get started!

Step 1: Define Your Goal

Before we dive into the technical stuff, it's crucial to have a clear goal in mind for your SEO GPT.

What do you want it to specialize in?

For our example, we're going to create an SEO expert proficient in on-page SEO, off-page SEO, and Technical SEO.

Step 2: Configure Your GPT

Now, let's configure your GPT.

Provide it with the necessary information about your goals.

Here is a prompt you can use in the “Create” window.

If the initial output doesn't quite match your expectations, don't worry.

You can always fine-tune the configuration until it aligns perfectly with your needs.

Step 3: Align with Your Brand

This is the most important part, and this is the reason this GPT is unique for you.

With this step, you are aligning your content with your brand, your voice, and your expertise.

Here is how you do it:

1. Open a new ChatGPT window

2. Install a plugin named Web Reader.

3. Use the prompt below to analyze your content from your blog or a specific blog post

   Navigate through this website [insert your blog link] and gather comprehensive insights about the target audience, the distinctiveness of my brand voice, the unique selling points, objectives for audience engagement, along with the tone and style used.
   

   With this, you will get:

   • Target Audience

   • Brand Voice

   • Unique Selling Points (USP)

   • Objectives for Audience Engagement

   • Tone and Style

   4. Paste the content generated from the about prompt to GPT “Create”

   With this, GPT will change the prompt in the “Configure” tab. And it should look something like this.

   

Step 4: Set Conversation Starters

Create conversation starters that suit your website's theme and content. These can be questions or actions.

For instance, you can ask your GPT to access a specific URL and identify SEO opportunities.

These conversation starters help your GPT provide actionable recommendations.

Step 5: Configure Capabilities

Decide what your GPT can do. If you want a comprehensive GPT, leave all the capabilities enabled.

This allows your GPT to access the internet, create images, and utilize your data sets for advanced data analysis.

However, if you prefer a basic version, you can toggle off some capabilities.

Step 6: Test and Save

Now it’s time to save and test.

You can save this for the public, but there is no use.

Why? Because this is only for you. The content and the context came from your background, your expertise, and your voice.

This is the reason why this GPT is unique.
